Animal Rescue Fund Of The Hamptons Readies For 'Forever Home'
A grand re-opening ceremony will be held in May.

EAST HAMPTON β The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, well-known as ARF, has been helping homeless and abandoned animals since 1974. And soon, the organization will be marking a new chapter as its "Forever Home" project is unveiled.
As ARF's 50th anniversary approaches, the organization has embarked upon a renovation to ensure its future for the next 50 β and to facilitate the continued care for the thousands of cats and dogs who have found food, shelter, medical care, compassion and their own forever homes through ARF's staff and volunteers.
A grand re-opening celebration for a newly revamped facility will be hold on Saturday, May 27 at noon.

The project, "Forever Home," has included the following components:

"ARFβs adopters will be greeted in a spacious, redesigned, light-filled lobby. The space will
feature retail, meet and greet rooms, and new homes for small dogs and puppies," ARF said.
Also, ARFβs catteries and kitten room will be completely renovated and include custom-built features for climbing, perching, and play. The HVAC systems throughout the entire facility have been custom-designed for the health and comfort of animals and people.
A new kennel
"Dogs will move into a new 7,000 square foot kennel building constructed with high quality materials, a sophisticated HVAC system, and a nitrogen-reducing waste treatment system," ARF said.
The building will include 40 individual kennels along with flexible rooms for dogs with special needs, meet-and-greet rooms for adopters, and new outdoor exercise areas.
The William P. Ryaner Training Center
A new 8,400 square foot training center will be built on site to accommodate year-round training, socialization, and enrichment for ARFβs dogs and to increase ARF's capacity to provide classes for the public and s adopters in any weather, any time of year.
The spacious facility will include a viewing area, outdoor play yard, and an environmentally conscious waste system.
