Author Nancy LaGarrenne Does Reading At The East Hampton Library

It was well attended followed by a great discussion.

Nanci LaGarenne of East Hampton, N.Y. gave a wonderful book reading and talk at the East Hampton Library Thursday August 17th focusing on her fourth novel, “Scape Ghost.”

Her three other east end classics, Cheap Fish, along with Refuge and The Bitter End, are great reads. The audience seemed to affirm that Scape Ghost, is very enjoyable.

Her reading easily created vivid visual thoughts and clarity.

Nancy LaGarenne is well known throughout East Hampton and Montauk because she also composes local writings and has done book readings at most of the east end bookstores and libraries.


She and her husband James (Jim) LaGarenne practically created the east end karaoke scene in the early 2000s.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, she and her husband have lived year-round in East Hampton for well over thirty years. The seeds of this particular novel came while visiting her son, who lives in the San Fransisco.
