Blue Duck Bakeries Honor Martin Luther King Jr. with Food Drive

The Kouris family believes in giving back to the local community.

Local business owners who have made giving back a life’s mission are gearing up to help the East End’s most needy.

The Blue Duck Bakery Cafés are again honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with a 2nd Annual Food Drive.

The drive will take place in all four locations, in Greenport, Southold, Riverhead, and Southampton, through Saturday, February 6, 2016.

“After the holidays our local food pantries are running dangerously low on supplies and food for those in need. In accordance with Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy to be a good neighbor, this is an opportunity for our customers and community members from all our locations to take a moment to give back”, said Nancy Kouris, owner of the Blue Duck Bakeries.

Non-perishable food items as well as toiletries can be dropped off during business hours at any of the Blue Duck Bakery Café locations in Southampton, Southold, Riverhead andGreenport.
