  1. Haskell's Seafood Market in Westhampton Beach will make over 500 meals for families in need, as part of a new program. (Subscription: 27east.com)
  2. Connecticut becomes 19th State to legalize recreational marijuana, however, hundreds of Long Island villages and towns are opting out. Municipalities have until Dec. 31 to decide if they will allow legalized adult-use recreational marijuana dispensaries and on-site consumption lounges. (CBS New York)
  3. In 2021, super-luxury home sales surge, rising 35%. Fueled by low interest rates, home life heightened by the pandemic and a rising stock market, prices for luxury houses have risen substantially. Although New York is considered a high-tax state, it topped the list for the number of sales over $50 million, with 13; Florida had 11. At least 40 residential properties sold for more than $50 million in the U.S., according to data compiled by the appraiser Miller Samuel.
