Here are the top stories in East Hampton today:

  1. The Tax Office is not open to the public, however, you can pay online or there is a slot in the Tax Office door at 300 Pantigo Place, Suite 106 where payments can be dropped off and receipts will be mailed to you. If you need to pay your taxes or need a copy of your bill, please visit the Town of East Hampton Website. (Press Release Desk)
  2. East Hampton Town amps up efforts to create affordable housing options. "The dramatic rise in housing costs and declining inventory of year-round rental properties is threatening to unravel the fabric of our community," East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc said in his 2022 state of the town address.   3. Registration is now open for the Cycle the Erie Canal tour to take place from July 10 to 17. It is an eight-day, 400-mile challenge that combines trail cycling with New York State history! Riders will cover 40 to 60 miles per day, stopping each night at campsites with restrooms and showers. Breakfast, dinner, and snacks are included, and there will be entertainment in the evenings. The full eight-day trip costs $975 for adults and $535 for kids ages 6 to 17, and $675 for non-cycling participants. Registration is capped at 650 people.
