- On June 4, the first-ever Hamptons Pride Parade, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, is taking place in East Hampton Village! Sign up at hamptonspride.org if you would like to help with the festivities. More information can be had by sending an email to hamptonsprideinc@gmail.com. (East Hampton Star)
- On Saturday, May 21, starting at 11 a.m., at South Bay Auctions, located at 485 Montauk Highway, East Moriches, the estate of world-renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, Laura Fisher (1945-2021) will be auctioned. More than 400 selected lots of quilts, hooked rugs and other textiles ranging from the late 18th to mid-20th century, will be on display for bidding. Preview: Sunday, May 15 – 20, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and by appointment. (ArtfixDaily)
- On Tuesday, the nonprofit organization, Habitat for Humanity, announced a merge with the Nassau and Suffolk chapters to form Habitat for Humanity of Long Island. Leaders of the affiliate to the national organization said the merge will expand services to provide more Long Islanders in need with affordable homes. (Long Island Press)
