3. Steve Roth, the Vornado CEO and his wife, Daryl, have put Bernie Madoff’s home at 216 Old Montauk Highway back on the market, Realtor.com reported. The price has increased 25 percent to $22.5 million from two years ago for the property. The house has been updated since the Roths bought the house in 2009 for $9.4 million. (The Real Deal)
4. William Petersohn, 30, of Mastic, pleaded guilty to charges he was driving under the influence of alcohol when he was behind the wheel of a car that caused a chain reaction crash, nearly killing a police officer. Officer Timothy Thrane spent weeks in a medically-induced coma while he recovered after emergency brain surgery. The sentence will likely be six months jail time and five years of probation, according to a Suffolk District Attorney spokeswoman. (Patch)
