- Adopt from the East Hampton area shelters. There are new dogs and cats listed this week, Daffodil the cat is waiting to meet you, or if you like dogs, you might like Bugsy, a shepherd up for adoption. - Sunday night, police responded to a bomb threat at the South Ferry terminal on Shelter Island, authorities said. Officers responded after a call was received at the Southold Town Police dispatch center at 10:39 p.m., according to Shelter Island Police. South Ferry operations were restored after a thorough search of the terminals determined that no explosive device was located or existed, police said. (Southampton Patch)
