The East Hampton Town Board adopted NYStretch Energy Code — a more stringent energy efficiency code for houses and commercial buildings in November, and both Southampton Town and Southampton Village are investigating doing the same. Adopting NYStretch is completely voluntary for towns and villages, but the state has sweetened the pot by offering grant money to those who do: $5,000 for municipalities with up to 40,000 residents, and $50,000 to larger municipalities.
  2. East End Hospice Offers Advice On Navigating Grief And Finding Hope Throughout The Holidays. Holiday grief takes on different forms, often amplified and expressed through a complicated range of emotions. In response, East End Hospice has incorporated new therapy modalities into its bereavement work, including music and writing therapies, guest speakers, energy work, and group sessions — both general and specific to the loss of a child or spouse — at Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue in Riverhead.
