East Hampton Village Police Mourn Loss Of Beloved Detective
He was a 19-year veteran of the East Hampton Village Police Department, Village Mayor Jerry Larsen says.
EAST HAMPTON, NY β East Hampton is mourning the loss of one of its finest.
"It is with deep regret and sadness that I have to announce the death of Detective Bryan Eldridge," East Hampton Village Mayor Jerry Larsen said Tuesday. "This news has come as a complete shock to all of use and his family.
Eldridge, Larsen said, was a 19-year veteran of the East Hampton Village Police Department. Eldridge died on December 22, he said.

A memorial service will take place on Dec. 30 at East Hampton High School, located at 2 Long Lane, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m; a police service will begin at 4 p.m.
The windmills will be illuminated in blue to honor Eldridge, Larsen said. "Please keep his family in your prayers," he added.
