East Hampton Election 2025 Results Are In: See Who Emerged Victorious
Voters turned out to cast their ballots on Tuesday.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Voters have spoken in the slate of East Hampton Town races on Election Day — and it was a great night for Democrats.
According to unofficial results by the Suffolk County Board of Elections, incumbent Suffolk County Legislator Ann Welker, a Democrat who represents the 2nd District, emerged victorious with 11,716 votes, or 69.95 percent, compared to challenger Raheem Soto, a Republican, who received 5,030 votes, or 30.03 percent.
Incumbent East Hampton Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez, a Democrat, ran unopposed and garnered 4,853 votes.

In the race for town clerk, Michael Hansen, who ran on the Democratic and Working Families lines, won with 3,786 votes, or 57.54 percent. Jeff Miller, a Republican, received 2,793 votes, or 42.45 percent.
Incumbent Superintendent of Highways Stephen Lynch, a Democrat, ran unopposed and received 6,136 votes.

The East Hampton town council race saw Democrats winning, with Ian Calder-Piedmonte, who ran on the Dem and Working Families lines, receiving 4,457 votes, or 35.21 percent. Cate Rogers, who also ran on the Democratic and Working Families lines, received 3,803 votes, or 30.04 percent. Republican candidate Scott Smith received 1,641 votes, or 12.96 percent, and J.P. Foster, also a Republican, received 2,746 votes, or 21.69 percent.
Incumbent Assessor Eugene De Pasquale,ran unopposed on the Democratic and Republican lines and received 5,947 votes.
Dems also swept the East Hampton Town trustee race. Celia Josephson, who ran on the Democratic, and Working Families lines, received 4,151 votes, or 17 percent. David Cataletto, a Democrat, received 4,286 votes, or 17.55 percent. Democrat Tim Garneau received 4,216 votes or 17.26 percent. And Democrat John Aldred received 4,202 votes, or 17.21 percent. Meanwhile, Republican John Dunning received 2,001 votes, or 8.19 percent; GOP candidate Kurt Kappel received 1,839 votes, or 7.53 percent; James Stark Vilar, a Republican, received 1,862 votes, or 7.62 percent; and Michael Wootton, a Republican, received 1,848 votes, or 7.57 percent.
