Loaded Handgun Found During East Hampton Traffic Stop: Police
The man was arrested Friday in East Hampton, police say.
EAST HAMPTON, NY β A man was arrested after he was found in possession of a loaded handgun in East Hampton early Friday, police said.
According to East Hampton Town police, the incident took place on Main Street at about 4:08 a.m.; police said they initiated a traffic stop on a 2011 Cadillac CTS 4 after observing multiple vehicle and traffic violations. The rear passenger was found to be in possession of a Taurus PT24/7 pro .45 caliber handgun, police said.
Kevin T. Weiss, 24, of East Hampton, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, loaded firearm; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon; and first-degree unlawful dealing with a child: alcohol, police said.

He was slated for arraignment Saturday at East Hampton Justice Court, police said.
