EAST HAMPTON, NY β A man was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated in East Hampton recently, police said.
According to East Hampton town police, Fabian Israel Cujilema Asoma, 34, was arrested on August 3 at 9:59 p.m. on Springs Fireplace Road. Israel was driving a 2009 Acura south near Abrahams Path and failed to maintain his lane, crossing over the solid white fog line multiple times; he was also seen going 55 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone, police said.
When officers interviewed him, he had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath, bloodshot, watery eyes, and slurred speech, police said. He also performed poorly on administered field sobriety tests, police said.

He was arrested and charged with felony DWI, previous conviction within 10 years, police said.
