Photos: Crowd Turns Out for East Hampton Library’s Annual Authors Night

The popular event raised more than $300,000 for the Library.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — It was a literary feast Saturday night as authors came together, along with a bountiful array of books, for East Hampton Library's 12th Annual Authors Night.

The event featured hors d’oeuvres and wine sampled by guests mingling with their favorite literary names.

More than 100 authors, including honorary co-chairs of the benefit Christie Brinkley, Dick Cavett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mary Higgins Clark and Dr. Ruth Westheimer, spent time mingling with at least 2,500 guests who purchased personally inscribed copies of their favorite authors’ newest books.

The event was held at 4 Maidstone Lane Field in East Hampton and raised more than $300,000, which will be used for programs and services at the Library throughout the next year.
