Residents of The Bristal Say They Are Ready to Teach Justin Timberlake

Residents of The Bristal Assisted Living are Offering to Have Him Serve His Community Service under Their Guidance

Justin Timberlake’s date with the woodshed should start by visiting a Suffolk County community of retirees.

Residents of The Bristal Assisted Living community in Holtsville are inviting Timberlake to serve his community service following his guilty plea of Driving While Impaired, by visiting their community and learning a few things about personal responsibility, integrity, and accountability.

“We’ve been around the block a few times” said 98-year-old Wilma Eriksen. “We’ve seen what happens when people make mistakes and, like Mr. Timberlake’s driving incident, those people come to regret it. Sometimes those errors have far more serious consequences than his experience on the early morning of June 18th. It’s time to do more than merely announce personal regret – It’s time to talk about life with people who have lived it.”.

Eriksen also observed, “My grandkids have enjoyed his hit songs like Cry Me a River, Rock Your Body and What Goes Around... Comes Around. Following our recent conversation about obligations and responsibility, I believe my fellow residents at The Bristal would be delighted to add a new twist to our playlists. Hearing Justin Timberlake perform in person would be a refreshing departure from the classic Sinatra, Bennett, and Elvis tunes."

Eriksen also says, “While we are willing to open our community to his music, we think there is a lot we can share with him regarding tragedies endured by friends and families because of the poor choices drivers have made over the decades. While Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace accepted his guilty plea, he also imposed a period of community service on Mr. Timberlake. We think serving that sentence with those older and wiser will be an important and meaningful learning experience for him.”
