"This full-length play, based on the playwright’s own life experiences, is a comedy-drama set in a beauty salon in Louisiana in the early 1980s and features an all-female cast. The women spend their time in the beauty salon gossiping, joking, and comforting each other through life’s hurdles," OFVS said.
The cast includes Anita Boyer, Kasia Klimiuk, Krissy Feleppa, Ellora DeCarlo, Rachel Feldman and Nicky Seitz, under the direction of Joe Pallister.

"I am loving our new Staged Series! We had a wonderful first reading last month with Edward Kassar and Joe Pallister doing 'The Zoo Story' and now the women are taking center stage with 'Steel Magnolias,'" Boyer said.
She added: "It has been a wonderful experience to work and play with some OFVS parents as well; it has been a really special bonding experience for me and Kasia. You know a play is brilliant when even a reading of it brings everyone to tears."
Admission is donation-based, with a suggested donation of $20, but all are welcome and any amount is greatly appreciated. The Staged Series is open to all adult actors in the community and will continue throughout the winter season.
