— Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone travelled to East Hampton on Wednesday to announce that a project is moving forward to improve Long Lane. New drainage and asphalt are part of the $2 million plan. Are you glad to see this happening?
— The East Hampton Town Board meets tonight at 7 p.m.Â
— The Highway Diner and Bar in Wainscott has a new chef, Peter Thomas. He's going to be adding items to the menu, including a pastrami sandwich to complement our popular Reuben, gyro and steak sandwiches, seasonal soups, new pasta and local seafood dishes.Â
— Our condolences to the Prado family in Montauk. A service for Eileen E. Prado, who died at 89, will be held on Thursday.
