Maybe it's spring fever, but there have been two accident of note on local roads today. Neither, thankfully, involved any injuries.
27 East is reporting an accident between a school bus and another vehicle in Watermill this afternoon, at Head of Pond Road and Montauk Highway.
The East Hampton Star has a much more detailed report about a car that crashed into the Red Horse Market, at 1:50 p.m. in East Hampton. Driven by an elderly woman, an Audi sedan jumped the curb and plowed into the building, smashing a window and rattling the employees.
"I thought the oven exploded," Ismael Hernandez said, referring to the pizza oven inside the market.
The story goes on to note:
Wednesday's incident is not the first time a car had hit the building. When Citarella's Tutto Italiano was housed there, vehicles struck it several times, coincidentally where the pizza ovens used to be located.
