Police ID 2 People Found Dead On Boat On Fire Island
Their bodies were found Sunday afternoon, police say.

CHERRY GROVE, FIRE ISLAND β Two people were found dead on a boat on Fire Island Sunday afternoon and police believe carbon monoxide poisoning killed them.
Peter DβAncona, 54, and Tina Sgambati, 51, were found on a 35-foot Mainship boat docked near Bayview Walk in Cherry Grove at about 2:25 p.m.
DβAncona and Sgambati, both of Moriches, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The deaths appear to have been caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, Suffolk Police said. The investigation is continuing.
Homicide Squad detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call detectives at 631-852-6392, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
