Woodhull Students Capture the Vibrant Colors of Autumn During Festive Art Class
Students at Woodhull School in the Fire Island School District are celebrating the season through vibrant, imaginative artwork
Fall was in full color at Woodhull School in the Fire Island School District, where students are celebrating the season through vibrant, imaginative artwork.
In art class, Ms. Daidone led third and fourth-grade students through a creative exploration of one-point perspective, guiding them as they crafted striking pumpkin patch paintings set beneath glowing autumn skies. With each brushstroke, students discovered how lines and angles work together to create depth, transforming their canvases into vivid windows overlooking the beauty of the season. The final pieces were nothing short of breathtaking and featured a kaleidoscope of reds, oranges, and golds that captured the true essence of fall.
At the same time, Woodhull’s youngest learners embraced their own artistic journey. PreK and Kindergarten students designed cheerful and colorful yearbook covers, letting their imaginations take center stage. Their bright hues, bold shapes, and joyful creativity promise a welcoming and heartwarming first page that will inspire every reader to turn the page with a smile.
“The creativity on display at Woodhull School is truly inspiring,” said Fire Island School District Superintendent Travis Davey. “Our students continue to show us how art can spark imagination, deepen learning, and bring our school community together. We are incredibly proud of their work and grateful to our dedicated staff for nurturing such artistic exploration.”
The Fire Island School District celebrates the creativity, curiosity, and craftsmanship of all Woodhull School artists as they bring the colors of autumn to life.
