Woodhull School Student Council Hosts Successful Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Woodhull School Student Council held a successful Thanksgiving Food Drive this year
Gratitude is growing at Fire Island School District as the Woodhull School Student Council recently held a successful Thanksgiving Food Drive. Over the past several weeks, students collected and donated nonperishable food items to help support their neighbors in need throughout the community.
Collection bins filled up throughout November, reflecting the generosity and spirit of giving that define the season. The Student Council is leading the effort, inspiring classmates and families to come together in a meaningful act of service.
“This annual tradition reminds us that kindness, empathy, and community are at the heart of Thanksgiving,” said Fire Island School District Superintendent Travis Davey. “We are grateful to every family contributing to this important cause.”
The final day to donate was November 21, after which Student Council members delivered all collected items to local organizations serving families in need. The Fire Island School District extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s drive a success.
