  1. An alert has been issued for a missing teenage girl from Hempstead. Heimy Rodenzo-Flores was last seen leaving her home around 8 a.m. on Tuesday. (Daily Voice)
  2. A person on the Long Island Railroad tracks, east of Mineola, was hit by a train and killed Tuesday night at 10:54 p.m. (Daily Voice)
  3. Alex Costello has the details on a lawsuit from the family of high school basketball star Jomani "Jo-Jo" Wright, who was killed in a car crash in Uniondale in January. The $150 million lawsuit against the Town of Hempstead and others alleges that the road where the accident occurred was not maintained because it was in a minority neighborhood. (Patch)
  4. Jeff Bessen has the update that Town of Hempstead Councilman Bruce Blakeman, a Republican, is the official winner over Democratic Nassau County Executive Laura Curran after all absentee ballots were counted. Blakeman ultimately had a 2,150-vote lead. (LI Herald)
  5. Path reports that an elderly man suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a truck in Franklin Square Tuesday. The 86-year-old man was hit by a box truck at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike at 11:05 a.m. and was taken to the hospital. (Patch)
