2 Men Picked Up For Shoplifting, Turned Over To ICE: Police

LAWRENCE, NY — Two men were arrested for stealing items from the Marshalls in Lawrence, police said.

Shortly after exiting the store on Monday afternoon, they were located behind the store on Rockaway Turnpike, police said.

Carlos Luis Moreno Yepez, 22, and Gimenez Torrealba, 21, were charged with petty larceny, police said.
They were issued appearance tickets returnable on May 9.

Further investigation revealed that both men had an outstanding warrant of removal pending with US Immigration Customs Enforcement and have been placed into their custody, Nassau police said.
