- St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Carle Place held the final service before it closed due to low attendance. The 96-year-old church was one of three Episcopal churches to close on Long Island. (News 12)
- Police say a seven-year-old girl was shot Saturday while playing in the back yard of a home in Hempstead on Evans Avenue just before 3 p.m. She was treated at a hospital and released. (News 12)
- Several advocacy groups are asking Governor Kathy Hochul to scrap five of 14 public transportation proposals to LaGuardia Airport, which might mean no rail connection will be available. The only public transportation option would be via bus. (Subscription: Newsday)
