  1. Anne Donnelly, Nassau County's new District Attorney, tells CBS New York about her plans for office including giving judges and prosecutors more power. (CBS New York)
  2. Patch has an update on the mystery Fox Island explosion. The FBI has now joined the investigation into Sunday's blast. Suffolk County Police are looking for the operator of a vessel seen leaving the area, a boat with stripes, and the FBI will look into a terrorism risk. (Patch)
  3. Jerry Barmash explains that an anti-hate rally was planned in Rockville Centre in response to last weekend's Proud Boys march. Residents assembled Wednesday night for the "RVC United Against Hate" at the steps of Central Synagogue-Beth Emeth. (Patch)
  4. A 23-year-old MS-13 gang member pleaded guilty to four homicides. Raul Ponce, also known as "Shadow," of Hempstead, was involved in the machete killing in the Massapequa Preserve, among others. (Daily Voice)
  5. A free training program will be held in Elmont for anyone looking to learn more about working in the trades. The 240-hour apprenticeship preparation training program will teach skills such as blueprint reading, and hosted by Opportunities Long Island, part of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
