- A man has been arrested for a Christmas Day burglary in Cedarhurst: Marquis Silvers, 20, of Queens, is accused of breaking into a home on Oakwood Avenue and threatening a 20-year-old male resident. (Patch)
- The Hewlett-Woodmere School District and the Lawrence School District have joined forces with Northwell Health’s Behavioral Health Center to help address the current mental health crisis among teenagers and children. The Behavioral Health Center has a multi-pronged approach with assessment to avoid emergency hospital visits, connecting families with child psychologists, crisis therapy, medications and support. - The U.S. government is planning to roll out COVID–19 shots for children under the age of 5 as soon as Feb. 21, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (Long Island Press)
