- A baby was born in Rockville Centre at 2:22 on 2/22/22. Logan Jowill Coreas Vazquez was born at Catholic Health's Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre, the first baby for Valley Stream's Wendy Campos-Vasquez and Mercedes Manual Coreas. (WABC-TV)
- Three people are facing charges for stealing more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from Nassau stores. Rodney Galloway, age 53, of Westbury, Michele Brown, age 24, of Baldwin, and Willie White, age 55, of Hempstead, were arrested on Monday. (Daily Voice)
- On Tuesday, Nassau County Legis. Siela Bynoe (D-Westbury) declared she will run for Congress in the 4th District, hoping to replace Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-Garden City), who has said she will not seek re-election. (Subscription: Newsday)
