Attempted Murder Charges For Man Who Shot Parents: Police
Police have released new details in the Christmas morning shooting inside a Long Island mansion.

HEWLETT HARBOR, NY — The 29-year-old man who police say shot his parents inside their Long Island mansion Christmas morning is facing attempted murder charges, authorities said Wednesday.
Dino Tomassetti was ordered held without bail following an arraignment at First District Court in Hempstead Wednesday, according to court records. He's due back in court Jan. 5.
Tomassetti shot his mother, 64-year-old Vinceta Marsicano-Tomassetti, in the head and his father, 65-year-old Rocco Tomassetti in the back around 10:08 a.m.

They were alert and conscious when officers arrived at the 8,751-square foot, $3.2-million sprawling property on Seawane Drive in Hewlett Harbor. Both have been released from the hospital.
Nassau police said Wednesday that the shooting occurred during a dispute over Dino Tomassetti's 1-year-old son, CBS 2 reported.

Tomassetti attempted to take his son, who he does not have custody of, from his parents and the baby's mother Christmas morning.
Tomassetti, who fled in a Cadillac Escalade, was taken into custody Saturday afternoon in Mahwah, New Jersey, police said.
Vinceta Marsicano-Tomassetti owns the Lynbrook dance studio Starz on Broadway, while his father owns Empire Transit Mix, a company that helped lay the foundation at 1 World Trade Center, the Daily Voice reported.
