- An 81-year-old man was struck and killed by a car when as he was attempting to cross Jerusalem Avenue at Parc Lane in Hicksville at 7:15 p.m. He was struck by a northbound 2005 Honda Civic. (Patch)
- A 65-year-old man was seriously injured, and a tow truck operator was arrested after a hit-and-run collision late Sunday night. It happened at the intersection of Linden Boulevard and 237th Street in Elmont and North Valley Stream. (Subscription: Newsday)
