Green Acres Connects With Community At Various Events
[It] shows our ongoing dedication to supporting the community in meaningful ways," Green Acres' Jill Blomberg said.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Green Acres spent time in the community at three separate events this month.
On August 2, Green Acres joined the Mill Brook Civic Association for its annual Block Party. They connected with residents with giveaways and other activities. Additionally, Green Acres presented a $2,000 scholarship to the civic group.
Two days later, they participated in Valley Stream’s Summer Recreation Program by hosting “Green Acres Day” at Camp Barrett.

It featured carnival-themed games and music. School supplies and backpacks were given to all 400 campers.
“When local businesses step up to give back, our whole community benefits. We’re grateful to Green Acres for ensuring our children are prepared for school—and for putting big smiles on their
faces too, Mayor Ed Fare, who attended the Camp Barrett celebration, said.

Green Acres also joined neighbors at National Night Out at Rath Park in Franklin Square. The Aug. 5 event, which celebrates neighborhood safety and community connections, welcomed attendees of all ages to enjoy activities and receive Green Acres–branded beach balls.
“We’re honored to play a role in community traditions that bring families together, both here at the center and throughout the neighborhoods we serve,” said Jill Bromberg, Community Relations
Manager at Green Acres. “These events give us an opportunity to connect directly with our neighbors and show our ongoing dedication to supporting the community in meaningful ways.”
