Here are the top three stories in Five Towns today:
- Dr. Roxanne Garcia-France has been named superintendent of schools at Valley Stream Union Free School District 30. She previously held the district's assistant superintendent position and will start on July 1. (Patch)
- The former payroll director of Nassau County Medical Center was indicted on charges of embezzling more than $120,000 from the hospital. Arlena Mann, 46, of Bay Shore, could face up to 15 years in prison. (Patch)
- The intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Edward Avenue in Woodmere has been the site of five fatal vehicular accidents in two years. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said that county will install a traffic signal, operational by spring. (LI Herald)
