VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Florida woman has been arrested and faces weapons charges after police said they found a loaded gun in her handbag during a traffic stop.Around 3 a.m. Wednesday, Nassau County police pulled over a black 2016 Chevrolet Malibu near Green Acres Road West. Officers found a gun in a handbag on the passenger seat, police said, and arrested Cristine Robles, of Bradenton, Florida. Her vehicle was also impounded. Robles faceds charges including fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was scheduled to appear in Hempstead district court Wednesday.
