Nassau Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint

It happened Thursday night, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A man robbed a Nassau County gas station at gunpoint Thursday night, police said.

According to Nassau police, the man walked into the BP station at 85 North Central Ave. in Valley Stream around 10:30 p.m. He approached the store clerk and displayed a handgun.

The man went behind the counter and demanded that the employee give him cash from the register, police said. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled on foot toward Stein Street.

There were no customers present at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.

The robber was described as black, 20-30 years old, about 5-foot-7, with an average build and medium complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, black knitted hat, black sweatpants, gloves and a face mask.
