Nassau Hebrew School Marches In Israel Day Parade

LAWRENCE, NY — An estimated 50,000 people marched on Fifth Avenue in the annual Israel Day Parade.

Among those showing support for Israel was Brandeis Hebrew Academy of Lawrence.

Students, staff, alumni and parents marched in Manhattan on Sunday.

Dressed in coordinated shirts and carrying banners and flags, the Brandeis group stood in solidarity for Israel with thousands of others from across the region.

"This parade is more than just a march — it’s a celebration of our shared values, history, and commitment to Am Yisrael," said Raz Levin, head of school.

The parade, the largest gathering in the world in support of Israel, started in 1964.
