- An East Meadow man was charged with stabbing his wife and baby on Monday. Christopher Alvarado, 37, is accused of stabbing his wife, 38, while she was holding their 18-month-old daughter before he attempted suicide. (News 12)
- Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman opposes a state takeover of Nassau University Medical Center. A proposed state bill would give Gov. Kathy Hochul and other leaders of the State Senate and Assembly more control over the hospital’s board. (LI Herald)
- New York State is cracking down on distracted driving this week. From Monday until next April 11, any driver pulled over for distracted driving will face a fine of $50 to $450, five points on their license, or even have their license suspended. (News 12)
