Nassau Nonprofit Has Distributed Over 500,000 Books To Children

HEWLETT, NY — International children's nonprofit Hindi's Libraries has reached a major milestone in its ever to foster literacy.

The Hewlett-based organization has distributed more than 500,000 free children's books.

Since its inception in 2018, Hindi's Libraries has worked toward providing free new and gently used children's books to those in need.

"Reaching the milestone of distributing over 500,000 books is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in Hindis Libraries," said Dovid Kanarfogel, Co-Founder at Hindis Libraries, and former spouse of the late teacher, who it is named after.

In celebration of this significant milestone, Hindis Libraries has a special initiative to celebrate its significant plateau. An anonymous donor has generously pledged to match up to $500 raised, doubling the impact of contributions made towards the organization's mission.

Hindi's Libraries operates with the core belief that access to books is a fundamental right for every child, regardless of socioeconomic background.

"We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of reading and explore the endless possibilities that books offer," Kanarfogel added. "This achievement motivates us to continue our efforts and expand our reach to even more children in need."
