  1. A Hempstead man was arrested Saturday after police say he tried to rob a store in the Roosevelt Field Mall at knifepoint. Antwain Key, 32, filled a bag with sweaters and jackets and left the store without paying. (Patch)
  2. A former Dairy Barn in North Bellmore is now a drive-thru-only coffeehouse called Buzz’d Express Coffee, serving hot and cold coffee drinks and snacks. (Subscription: Newsday)
  3. A public hearing on a variance for a $95 million, 201-unit apartment complex at the former Mangrove Feather factory has been delayed until March 10. Garden City-based Breslin Realty was to appear before the State Department of State’s variance board in Hauppauge Feb. 10, and cannot start the project without the approval. (LI Herald)
