- A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night in Valley Stream. A 62-year-old man hit a 61-year-old woman at the intersection of North Central Avenue and Margaret Drive around 9:30 p.m. (Patch)
- A tractor trailer from Sprague Energy in Lawrence with 11,000 gallons of fuel crashed in Merrick. It happened at the intersection of Lansdowne Avenue and Sunrise Highway just after 5 a.m. (LI Herald)
- This Wednesday will mark the end of school mask mandates in New York State. Gov. Kathy Hochul's announcement came on Sunday. (Subscription: Newsday)
