  1. A shooting happened at the Green Acres Mall just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday. One person was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital and police are investigating. (Patch)
  2. Nassau County will pay a cab driver $2 million to settle a lawsuit from a road rage incident in 2011. Thomas Moroughan, the driver, was shot by off-duty Nassau police officer Anthony DiLeonardo, who was drinking. (Subscription: Newsday)
  3. Gas prices are almost at $5 per gallon on Long Island, due to the war in Ukraine. A gallon of regular gas on LI averaged $4.34 on Tuesday. (News 12)
