- A man walked into Da Smoke Spot, at 230 Merrick Road in Oceanside, and confronted a male clerk and shot the 26-year-old employee in the chest once during a robbery. The employee is in stable condition. (Patch)
- A man from Georgia was arrested after police say he brought a loaded handgun into a teen's birthday party at the Homewood Suites in Carle Place. (Patch)
- Nassau County police are investigating after a crash in Hempstead Friday that killed a man on a motorcycle. A 27-year-old man was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle southwest on Peninsula Boulevard in Hempstead. (Patch)

- Long Island Rail Road service was restored between Rockville Centre and Valley Stream after it was suspended after an unidentified person was struck by a train on Saturday morning around 7:45 a.m. The person survived. (LI Herald)
- Hewlett's Jacob Maiorano finished in 7th place at the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Championships. Ethan Golduber, David Kushnirsky, Ethan Nus and Jonah Kirschbaum finished in 4th place in the 200 Medley Relay at the NYSPHSAA Swim Championships. Clariss Duhaney took 10th place in the High Jump at the NYSPHSAA Track & Field Championships. (Patch)
- Gold Coast Table Tennis Club is a new facility in Port Washington owned by pro players and coaches. Tables can be rented, and coaching is available. (Subscription: Newsday)
