
Here are some things coming this week:
- The Village of Hewlett Bay Park will hold a board of trustees meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Village of Lawrence Board of Trustees will meet at 8 p.m.
- The Lawrence Board of Education will meet on Monday at 8 p.m. at Number Five School.
- The NCJW Peninsula section will hold an open meeting on Tuesday at noon with speaker Amy Cotton. The topic is "What Women NEED To Know About The Affordable Care Act." A mini boutique starts at 10 a.m.
- The local committee of New York Rising will hold a workshop on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library.
- The Hewlett-Woodmere Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The high school PTA will meet on Monday at 9:30 a.m. and central council will meet on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. There will be a SEPTA open forum on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
- Hewlett High School's performances of "A Chorus Line" begin on Wednesday. Click here for times.
- Lawrence High School will also present "A Chorus Line" this year. Performances start on Thursday and proceed through Saturday. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m.
- Five Towns Martial Arts Academy will offer free self defense classes for women on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
- The Woodmere Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual "Comedy Night" fundraiser on Saturday at 7 p.m.
