Deliveryman Attacked, Robbed in Valley Stream

The 42-year-old victim was confronted and assaulted by a squad of hooded, masked suspects Thursday night, officials say.

Detectives are searching for five suspects from a Valley Stream robbery Thursday night, officials say.

According to a Nassau County police report, the 42-year-old victim was making a Chinese food delivery to an East Dover Street residence around 7:50 p.m. Thursday when a squad of masked men surrounded and assaulted him.

The victim became suspicious when two masked males approached him; he attempted to walk in the opposite direction when three other masked males surrounded him, punched him in the face and head and removed his wallet that contained an undisclosed amount of cash and credit cards, the report states.

All five subjects then fled westbound on East Dover Street. The victim could only describe the subjects as all wearing hoodies.

The victim, who sustained minor contusions to his face, refused medical attention.
