Veteran Elmont PTA President 'All In For Community'
Lynette Battle is recognized for her commitment to the community.

ELMONT, NY — Without community leaders, Elmont wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.
Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions. This submission comes from Herold Joseph, who nominated Lynette Battle.
How do you know the community leader? She works as the Elmont Memorial High School PTSA president and local community leader.

What does the community leader do? She serves the school and helped fight to keep the principal at Elmont after the whole debacle. She also leads on community development and small business development issues.
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored? Her commitment to the local community is shown by her ability to show up and be present. She is active with local stakeholders from the Sewanhaka Superintendent, to the local politicians to enhance the school and uplift Elmont students.
