Teen Punches Macy's Employee When Confronted For Stealing: PD

Another unidentified woman pushed the same employee to the ground, kicked her and punched her multiple times, police say.

Two women injured a store employee when they were confronted for stealing from Macy's in the Green Acres Mall on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

According to authorities, 17-year-old Queens resident Shalaina Mosley and an unidentified woman tried to leave Macy's, located at 1000 Green Acres in Valley Stream, without paying for merchandise at 1 p.m.

They women were stopped by employees and were escorted back to the loss prevention office, police say. The incident then became physical and the women began kicking and shoving the employees, police say. Mosley allegedly took a cell phone from an employee and punched her in the face. The other woman pushed the same employee to the ground, kicked her and punched her multiple times, police say.

The unidentified woman fled the store with the stolen merchandise and the employee's security radio, police say.

Mosley remained at the scene and was placed under arrest. She was charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree attempted robbery. She will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.

The employee suffered pain to her face, ringing in her left ear and dizziness.
