Brooklyn Tech To Take On Beacon High In PSAL Class A Finals

Third-seeded Brooklyn Tech will face off with No. 1 seed Beacon High in the PSAL Class A finals at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing on Tuesday. 

The match was scheduled for today but was postponed due to rain. 

Brooklyn Tech upset Benjamin N. Cardozo, 3-2, in a semifinal match held on Friday at Bay Terrace Tennis Club in Queens.

In singles play, No. 1 Jake Sosonkin topped Cardozo's Hugh Mo, 10-6. In second singles, Sami Chahi got by Matthew Balilo, 10-2.

Justin Selig and Ilan Korchmar clinched it for Tech in doubles play with a win over Mitchell Cheung and Jun Yuminaga, 10-6, 10-6.

The team is scheduled to take to the court starting at 3:30 p.m.
