Fort Greene Architect Honored

Tobias Holler, an assistant professor of architecture at New York Institute of Technology, received the New Practices New York award this week.

Holler, a Fort Greene resident, received the honor for his architecture firm's innovative practices, particularly related to sustainability.

Among HOLLER architecture's most recent projects was a reimagining of Long Island's loose network of towns and villages into a single, cohesive and ecologically self-sustaining community.

The effort, called LIRR Long Island Radically Rezoned—A Regenerative Vision For a Living Island, won the People’s Choice award for the Build a Better Burb Competition.
