Have An Outstanding Warrant? DA Announces 'Safe Surrender'

Here's an opportunity to wipe the slate clean.

On Dec. 2-3, the Brooklyn District Attorney's office will hold its Project Safe Surrender event for residents with outstanding summons warrants.

While "Safe Surrender" is not an amnesty program, favorable consideration will be given to participants, according to the DA.

Clergy, lay members and defense attorneys will be present from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mount Sion Baptist Church, 365 Ralph Ave. in Crown Heights.

A resource fair with food will be held at Shirley Chisholm Day Care Center II located at 2023 Pacific St.

Some of the warrants covered by "Safe Surrender" include those related to possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct and littering.
