Postal Worker Attacked Inside Fort Greene Bodega: Police

The postal worker suffered abrasions and broken skin in the four-on-one assault, which took place at Genuine Deli, police say.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn detectives are hunting for four suspects who they say beat up a postal worker inside a Fort Greene deli Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:35 p.m. inside Genuine Deli, located at 700 Fulton St., a 50-year-old postman verbally engaged four unknown men who were causing a disturbance in the deli, according to an NYPD news release.

The four men then punched the victim in the head and body, causing abrasions and broken skin to his face and an injury to his right eye, police said.

The attackers then fled on foot, police said.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was treated and released, according to the NYPD.
