Man Beaten To Death In Fort Greene Homeless Shelter: NYPD
Police found the battered 64-year-old man inside the CAMBA men's shelter early Monday morning.

FORT GREENE -- A 64-year-old man was beaten to death inside a homeless shelter in Brooklyn early Monday morning, police said.
Police received a call about an assault inside the CAMBA Opportunity House Men's Shelter on 59 Prince Street just after 12:30 a.m.
Officers who arrived at the shelter found the man badly beaten. He was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Cops were later told that a 36-year-old man had hit the older man repeatedly. The alleged attacker was taken into custody at the scene with charges pending, police said.
An NYPD spokesperson declined to release the suspect's name, citing an ongoing investigation. The identity of the man beaten to death is also being withheld pending family notification.
