Charlene J. Thompson, Esq.,Thompson Economic Development Services, LLC served as the Keynote Speaker for the Inaugural Minority Enterprise Development Week on LI – In 2023 MED Week will be extended to a month in order to increase programs and activities designed to foster growth in Minority Communities in New York State

Charlene Jackson Thompson, Esq. who is a social engineer, community activist, entrepreneur and most importantly, a mother to her three children.

A graduate of the College of William and Mary and Howard University School of Law, Ms. Thompson has spent over 20 years practicing law in New York State and working to bring social, political and economic justice to the most underserved communities. She has been honored as Small Business Person of the year at the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce, Inc.’s (NCCC) Legislative Breakfast for her work during her time as Chair of LIAACC’s MWBE Committee and has been honored by the Long Island Business News in the category of Leadership in Law on Long Island.

In addition, her work has been recognized on the Senate floor by Senator John E. Brooks.
